Megan Frese Porio is an experienced New York employment lawyer with extensive knowledge of the New York Human Rights Law, New York City Human Rights Law, New York Wage and Hour Law, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, False Claims Act, and federal anti-discrimination laws. Megan has litigated claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and breach of contract brought before state and federal courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the New York State Division on Human Rights. Megan also counsels individual and corporate clients on employment contracts, separation agreements, the Family and Medical Leave Act, covenants not to compete, employee handbooks, employee training, and other employment matters. Megan has been selected by her peers to the Super Lawyers – Rising Star list for four consecutive years.
Megan received her law degree cum laude from Fordham University School of Law. She received her B.A. cum laude from Georgetown University, where she was co-captain of the ivision One women’s soccer team.
Megan also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edwin H. Stern, Presiding Judge for Administration, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Megan is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
