Paul Castronovo concentrates on employment law, construction litigation, and business disputes. Paul has won almost $6 million in judgments for his clients. A panel of appellate judges praised Paul’s writing and oral advocacy as “masterful.”
“Paul Castronovo is an experienced trial attorney focusing on employee rights. His peers have chosen him for the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 New Jersey Super Lawyers® lists and previously to the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Rising Stars lists”
In his employment law practice, Paul litigates hostile work environment, whistleblower, and discrimination claims in the New York and federal courts. He also advises clients on executive-level contracts, non-compete agreements, and severance packages. In his construction practice, Paul has litigated both contract and defect claims for owners, sureties, and contractors, including a claim arising from 9/11 reconstruction on the WTC site. He has represented business clients in claims for dissolution of closely-held entities, oppressed minority shareholder compensation, and breach of contract.
As a result of his practice, Paul has argued cases that created law on the joint employment doctrine and the “alter ego” theory of corporate liability.
